BelCel (brand name DIALLOG) birthday is traditionally celebrated on the Radio, Television and Telecommunications Day - the 7th of May. The date is symbolical - BelCel JV is the first wireless operator in the Republic of Belarus. The company is unique by the combination of twelve-year traditions and the latest innovations in the field of informational technology that constitutes a union of a technical “youth” and a management experience.

Starting from July 2003 the company operates cdma2000 network under the brand name DIALLOG. The unique capabilities of this telecom standard enable our subscribers to get a full value Internet access from any location within cdma2000 service area. Our network covers the territory that inhabited by 81 percent of urban population and 56 percent of nationwide population of the Republic of Belarus. Number of subscribers comes to about 100 000.

State organizations, banks, foreign representative offices and major commercial structures, which have been our first subscribers, keep on staying with us nowadays. For the twelve years of its operation BelCel JV has gained a lot of staunch supporters where the main achievement is the team of professionals who ensure our technological leadership in the market. The company is aiming at making each step in its development to open the new opportunities for our subscribers.

For example, the company schedules the following innovations for the second half of 2005: implementation of packet data services based on EV-DO technology. This project can make a revolution in the wireless Internet market of the Republic of Belarus. EV-DO service users shall be able to view video files on-line and operate with large-scale data volumes that will be provided by a high security and reliability of the connection. Likewise, in the near time BelCel JV plans to increase the number of value-added services including the introduction of SMS-service to other operators’ networks.
