Press-cutting service of BelCel JV announces that the traffic between the network of “MDC” JV Ltd. (trademarks Privet and Velcom) and BELCEL network has been reconnected in full volume.

Press-cutting service of BelCel JV reminds that “MDC” JV Ltd. blocked the traffic for BELCEL subscribers on February 5, 2003 – on the eve of the commercial launch of the new telecommunications standard cdma2000.

BelCel JV expresses its thanks to the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Belarus for their hands on and assistance in the conflict resolution and also its satisfaction that “MDC” JV Ltd. eliminated all the obstacles that prevented call forwarding.

BelCel JV marks once more that the actions undertaken by “MDC” JV Ltd. (trademarks Privet and Velcom) were in conflict with the current legislation. BelCel JV adheres to the position that the tariffs on the settlements between the mobile operators are to be decreased.

Commenting on the last week events, Director General of BelCel JV Artem Orange pointed: “We hope that this precedent from the direction of the cellular operator shall be the last demonstration of such sort of outrageous actions and won’t become a tradition when the new or modernized existent systems shall enter the market”.
